Motherhood is one of the highest and noblest callings in the world, but it can be corrupted by becoming the core of a woman’s identity.
Truth is, a follower of Christ can suffer from mental illness like anyone else.
Recently, I was having a discussion with a group of colleagues and we were sharing our working mom stories. One of them stated that she felt that she would not be able to sustain her career and be a mom although she desired children. I briefly told them my story and my ending phrase was “Don’t try to be a supermom…she doesn’t exist.”
