Author: Riva River Galveztan

Riva “River” Galveztan, is a 29-year-old innovative entrepreneur, a perceptive marketing strategist, and a purpose-driven originator. In 2008, she decided to take the road less traveled after she graduated with a Communications Technology Management degree from the Ateneo De Manila University. She followed her passion to help uplift the state of health and well-being of people who need it the most. She was fueled by concern that many are suffering because they are not aware of how to address their illnesses using a holistic approach. With the increasing demand for natural products coupled with her advocacy to use food as medicine that her parents studied while working in the far-flung rural areas, she started The Natural Shelf, a company that aims to develop premium quality products made from medicinal fruits and vegetables found in the Philippines. After taking her Masters in Entrepreneurship in the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, she was determined to expand her business. In the process of doing so, she made mistakes and experienced a crisis that led her to pursue God’s calling to facilitate meaningful interactions that build harmonious and life-giving relationships. This yearning gave birth to Customized Dating, a profiling and segmentation program that aims to create a unique environment for joyfully single men and women to interact and discern what is best for them according to their maturity level, perspective, faith, values, believes, discipline, attitude, lifestyle, among other essential factors. She curates themed events where like-minded and like-hearted people get together where topics are based on their stage in life. Under this program, she conducts workshops on “The Art and Heart of Getting to Know” to help individuals get to know who they truly are as they get to know others. Each one gets to see what they can and cannot deal with through activities that shape and mold them to be the person God has designed them to be. At present, she also runs Green Light, a customer-centric marketing research consulting company that caters to start-ups who see the value in crafting strategies using primary sources of data.
